At the AG church in Fringilla, Zambia, Bupe asked Jesus to be her Savior. Following the Community Health Evangelism (CHE) health lessons she received there, Bupe has learned how to take better care of herself. Not only that, she’s found hope in God’s healing power to give her a long and productive life.
Through the CHE program, Bupe received the training and resources to start her own microenterprise, a food business. She now makes a sustainable income to support herself and pay for her antiretroviral drugs.
Her business has done so well that she not only paid the loan back, but constructed a building large enough to house her business with space left over to lease to other local businesses. Bupe is grateful for the changes CHE has brought to share the hope she’s found with her friends and neighbors. Active in her church and CHE program, she works with other HIV-positive patients and helps provide for them through her plot in the community garden and business.
