HCM’s Community Health Evangelism coordinators, Dwight and Heather McConnell, will be presenting a workshop at the International Wholistic Missions Conference (IWMC) April 30-May 2, 2014 in Peoria, AZ. Their workshop is entitled “Facilitating Community Ownership and Catalyzing Sustainable Development” and will be a part of a tract called “Transforming the Village.”
Dr. JoAnn Butrin, the director of AGWM International Ministries, will also be a featured speaker at IWMC. Her workshop is entitled “Opportunities and Methods for Addressing Injustice in the Rural Setting.”
There will be 63 different workshops by experienced field practitioners in nine different tracks, which include: Planting Wholistic Churches, Transforming the City, Transforming the Village, Worldview and Christian Community Development, Christians in the Workplace, Mobilizing the Church for Wholistic Missions, Poverty Alleviation and Economic Development, Short Term Missions and Global Partnerships, and The International War on Women.
