When did you arrive at HCM?
We landed at HCM in 1999 after over 10 years of God preparing us through prophecies, confirmations and the constant voice of the Holy Spirit assuring us we were destined for medical missions. We first met HCM at a seminar given by the resident missionaries that explained everything about missions, but we’re afraid to ask. There even were large jars of various parasites for visuals. We were hooked.
What is your role at HCM?
Non-resident missionary associates. Rob is a dentist and Sally is a nurse (LPN).
Where did you go on your first HCM outreach?
Rob’s first trip was to South Africa. His dental work there changed the smiles of those he touched, but it was in a tent there that God changed his heart. He heard the Lord say, “This is why I made you…not this is why I made you a dentist.” With this new found identity, he ran 60 more times to the field using dentistry as his tool to touch the nations. My (Sally) first trip with Rob was to Lithuania . I worked as a nurse and dental assistant.
What do you enjoy most about working with HCM?
Since that trip we continue to make ourselves available to serve as a couple mentoring and leading those through teams and speaking engagements. Our heart’s desire is to see the transforming power of the gospel be spread to all nations, and we are honored to be medical missionary associates with HCM. It has been a wonderful journey and privilege.
