Water Sanitation and Hygiene

Over 2 billion people struggle to gain access to clean water sources daily.

Contaminated water can cause numerous illnesses, impacting family health and economic conditions. Options such as biosand filters, water wells, and SODIS are a few ways to address the issue of appropriate and clean water.

Sanitation is also critical for community health through training in the construction of things like composting toilets and handwashing stations.

CompassionLink partners with community leaders to help them achieve a healthier community.

Water Purification and Filtration

Sometimes water is available, but not safe to drink. CompassionLink can provide training in construction and use of filters and purification methods. From a bottle to a sand filter, the materials found locally in communities can be used to make their water safe to drink.

Sanitation and Hygiene

Training in how to build a hand washing station or a composting latrine can lead to healthier communities.
